Entry requirements
Demo content: no previous first aid qualification is required. Learners should be physically able to take part in practical floor-based activities. Confirm the final entry requirements with the academy.
Learning outcomes
- Understand the role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Complete a primary survey and call for appropriate help
- Demonstrate adult CPR and safe AED awareness
- Respond to an unresponsive casualty, choking, bleeding and shock
- Record and report a workplace first aid incident

Demo assessment: continuous trainer observation of practical skills plus a short knowledge check. Replace with the final approved assessment process.
